Minot downs Coulee Region in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Chance Crregger gave the Minot Minotauros a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Coulee Region Chill when he scored 4:45 into the extra period.

Minot came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Minotauros fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Coulee Region's Hunter Anderson at 11:46 in the second period. Minot knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Stephen Sherman at 5:33 in the third period.

Crregger had two goals to lead the Minotauros to victory.

Minot relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Sherman, Wesley Iverson and Crregger took 21 of the team's 41 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Minot also got a goal from Cody Milligan as well. In addition, Minot received assists from Jadin Martin, who had two and Paul Sorenson, Cameron Rowat, David Dalbec, Jake OBorsky, and Mason Morelli, who contributed one a piece.

The defensemen of the Chill were also effective in the Minotauros' zone, and came away with two goals.

Coulee Region was led by Sean Lang, who finished with two goals. Lang scored the first of his two goals at 9:23 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Coulee Region. Brady Riesgraf provided the assist. Lang's next tally made the score 3-2 Coulee Region with 17:32 left in the third period. A slashing penalty on Sherman had put the Chill on the power play. Other players who recorded assists for Coulee Region were Aleksi Mustaniemi and Travis Underwood, who each chipped in one.

Ryan Ruck recorded 23 saves for Minot. The Minotauros incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Coulee Region's Blake Cates stopped 37 shots out of the 41 that he faced. The Chill incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
