Bismarck downs Aberdeen, 4-1

Levi Blom registered two points to lead the Bismarck Bobcats to a 4-1 victory over the Aberdeen Wings.

Bismarck stifled Aberdeen's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bobcats failed to reach their usual level of shot production, putting 17 pucks on goal after averaging 27.5 shots per game this season.

Bismarck additionally got points from Matt Anders, who also had one goal and one assist. Patrick Moore also scored for Bismarck. More assists for Bismarck came via Adam Knochenmus, who had one and Joe Hockert and Johno May, who each chipped in two.

The Wings were below their usual level of shot production, taking 20 shots compared to the 28.9 Aberdeen averages. The Wings were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 24 penalty minutes.

Aberdeen was led by Heinz Koster, who scored the team's only goal. Koster scored 10:48 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Peter Krieger assisted on the tally.

Aaron Nelson made 19 saves for Bismarck on 20 shots. The Bobcats incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Marcus Zelzer rejected 13 shots on goal for the Wings. Aberdeen registered zero goals on five power play opportunities.
