The Coulee Region Chill gutted out a close 4-2 win against the Janesville Jets. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Sean Lang at 9:15 of the third period. Coulee Region was led by Hunter Anderson, who tallied two goals. Anderson scored the first of his two goals at 16:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Coulee Region. Andy Faust provided the assist. Anderson's next tally made the score 4-2 Coulee Region with 1:16 left in the third period. Zach Doerring assisted on the tally. Eddie Matsushima also scored for Coulee Region. Other players who recorded assists for Coulee Region were Derek Smith, Aleksi Mustaniemi, and Travis Underwood, who contributed one a piece. Janesville stifled the Chill's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Jets put 37 shots on net during the contest, more than the 20.2 they average per game. Janesville could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game. The Jets were led by Jordan Himley, who registered two goals. Himley scored the first of his two goals at 3:50 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Pedlan Ruslan provided the assist. Himley's next tally made the score 2-2 with 16:19 left in the third period. A roughing call on Conor Lemirande put Janesville on the penalty kill. Eric Carlson picked up the assist. In addition, Janesville received assists from Bryan Kronberger, who had one. Blake Cates rejected 35 shots on goal for Coulee Region. The Chill incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Jets' Austin Priebe stopped 21 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Janesville registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
