The Minot Minotauros tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Wenatchee Wild would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-1. A goal by Jacob Barber put Wenatchee up 3-0 in the third period, but Minot pulled to within two on Ryan Doner's tally 17:49 into the third period. The Wild were sparked by Max McHugh, who finished with one goal and one assist. McHugh scored 17:33 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Wenatchee. Noah Nelson provided the assist. Wenatchee's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Minot power plays. The Wild put 45 shots on net during the contest, more than the 26.1 they average per game.
