The Austin Bruins survived a determined comeback attempt by the Bismarck Bobcats on the way to a 4-3 win.

Austin made the score 4-1 on a goal by AJ Reid at 3:37 in the third period, and Bismarck got as close as 4-3 when Johno May scored 19:56 into the third period.

The Bruins relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Jay Dickman, Reid and Riley Colvard took 15 of the team's 27 shots.

Austin additionally got points from John Simonson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Austin were Wes Judnick, Jake Flynn, Austin Nelson, Cody Dixon, and Brandon Wahlin, who contributed one a piece.
