The Wenatchee Wild beat the Kenai River Brown Bears, 2-0, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout. Blake Roubos provided Wenatchee with the game-winning tally when he scored 12:57 into the the first period. Chris Kerr provided the assist.The Wild were led by Roubos, who finished with one goal. Wenatchee put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Kenai River to score on any of its three power plays. The Wild was steadier on the defensive front than they have been for much of this season. Wenatchee gives up 2.5 goals on average per game.
