Wenatchee downs Kenai River, 6-2

The Wenatchee Wild won 6-2 over the Kenai River Brown Bears.

By firing 33 shots on goal, Wenatchee exceeded the 27.1 shots it averages per game this year.

The Wild were helped by Trace Redmond, who finished with one goal. Redmond scored 7:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wenatchee. Dillon Eichstadt provided the assist. Wenatchee also got points from Blake Roubos, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Jono Davis, who also had one goal and one assist. Wenatchee also got a goal from Nathan Flynn as well. In addition, Wenatchee received assists from Joshua Hartley and Derick Kuchera, who contributed one a piece and David Powlowski and Tyler Bruneteau, who each chipped in two.

Kenai River failed to reach its usual level of shot production, putting 19 pucks on goal after averaging 24.5 shots per game this season. The Brown Bears' offense was helped by the efforts of their defensemen, who managed to put eight shots on net during the game.

Kenai River was helped by Zac Lazzaro, who racked up one goal. Lazzaro scored 17:09 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Wenatchee. Lucas Kohls picked up the assist. Vincent Stefan also scored for Kenai River. Other players who recorded assists for Kenai River were Matt Seidel, who had one.

Robert Nichols made 17 saves for Wenatchee on 19 shots. The Wild incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Sean Healy rejected 27 shots on goal for the Brown Bears. Kenai River incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
