Reid Mimmack had a standout game with 26 saves, and the Jamestown Ironmen beat the Springfield Jr. Blues 2-1. Jamestown was led by Luc Gerdes, who registered one goal. Gerdes scored 19:43 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Jamestown. Dylan Zink picked up the assist. The Ironmen failed to reach their usual level of shot production, putting 23 pucks on goal after averaging 29.1 shots per game this season. Ross Pavek also scored for Jamestown. Other players who recorded assists for Jamestown were Brett Szajner and Daniel Cesarz, who each chipped in one. Springfield was led by Tom Cooney, who scored the team's only goal. Cooney scored on the power play 14:12 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Jr. Blues had gained a power play chance when Szajner was whistled for high sticking. Nate Chasteen assisted on the tally. Jamestown totaled 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. The Ironmen ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Huba Sekesi was ejected from the game. Ryan Kellenberger rejected 21 shots on goal for Springfield. The Jr. Blues incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
