Amarillo blows out Wichita Falls, 8-1

The Wichita Falls Wildcats had trouble finding ways to stop the Amarillo Bulls, which beat Wildcats, 8-1.

Amarillo was paced by Matt Sieckhaus, who racked up one goal. Sieckhaus scored 13:11 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Amarillo. John Rey provided the assist.

The Bulls' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Wichita Falls power plays. Amarillo outdid its season average for goals scored. The Bulls have scored at the pace of 4.6 goals per game during the current campaign. Amarillo put 39 shots on net during the contest, more than the 31.9 it averages per game.

Amarillo additionally got points from Omar Mullan, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Hampus Gustafsson, who also had two goals and one assist, and Clint Carlisle, who also registered two goals and one assist. Brady Ferguson also scored for Amarillo. Other players who recorded assists for Amarillo were Geoff Fortman, Tyler Rostenkowski, Ryan Cole, Mike Davis, and TJ Sherman, who contributed one a piece and Tyler Deresky and O'Neal L, who each chipped in two.

Collin Delia rejected 22 shots on goal for the Bulls. Amarillo incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Cooper Cook made 16 saves before being replaced by Evan Cowley, who took the loss and made 15 saves. Wichita Falls incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
