Dickman leads Austin over Coulee Region, 5-2

Jay Dickman had two goals and two assists to lead the Austin Bruins to a 5-2 victory over the Coulee Region Chill.

Dickman's tallies came on the power play at 8:47 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Austin and 13:45 into the second to make the score 3-1 Austin.

The 37 shots that Austin put on net surpassed the Bruins' average of 23.0 shots per game this season.

Austin additionally got points from John Simonson, who also had one goal and one assist and AJ Reid, who also registered one goal and two assists. Josh Bretner also scored for Austin. More assists for Austin came via Brandon Wahlin, who had two and Jake Flynn, Austin Nelson, and Zach Johnson, who each chipped in one.

Coulee Region averages 26.0 shots on goal per game, but only sent 17 pucks on net against Austin.

The Chill were helped by Travis Underwood, who finished with one goal. Underwood scored on the power play 10:32 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Austin. Coulee Region had taken the advantage when the Bruins' Kody Reuter got sent off for checking from behind. Coulee Region also got a goal from Aleksi Mustaniemi as well. In addition, Coulee Region received assists from Cory Lushanko and Eddie Matsushima, who contributed one a piece.

Austin's Nicholas Lehr stopped 15 shots out of the 17 that he faced. The Bruins incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Aaron Davis rejected 32 shots on goal for the Chill. Coulee Region incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
