In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Texas Tornado escaped with a 5-3 victory over the Janesville Jets. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Anthony Mousseau secured the win for Texas with a goal in the third period. The Tornado's offense was sparked by Justin Greenberg, as he ended with four assists in a victory against Janesville. Texas kept the Jets' goalie busy throughout the game, and Collin Brennan made 27 saves on 32 shots. The Tornado found themselves short handed often, totaling 22 penalty minutes and allowing six power plays. Texas' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. Texas also got a goal from Alex Temby as well. Other players who recorded assists for Texas were Louie Rowe, who had two. Janesville did not challenge the opposing netminder, getting only nine shots on net to force six saves. The shot total fell below the Jets' season average of 14.7 shots per game.
