Bismarck downs Jamestown, 3-1

Shane Omdahl registered two points to lead the Bismarck Bobcats to a 3-1 victory over the Jamestown Ironmen.

With 28 shots on target during the contest, Bismarck exceeded the 21.2 shots it averages per game this year.

Adam Knochenmus also scored for Bismarck. Other players who recorded assists for Bismarck were Kevin Becker, Bob Kinne, Joe Giordano, Tyler Tatro, and Daniel Kovar, who each chipped in one.

Jamestown averages 28.2 shots on goal per game, but only sent 21 pucks on net against the Bobcats. The Ironmen did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Jamestown puts an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game.

The Ironmen were led by Elliot Tisdale, who scored the team's only goal. Tisdale scored 3:16 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Jamestown. Matthew Crockett provided the assist.

Bryan Nies recorded 20 saves for Bismarck. The Bobcats totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. Jamestown's Tim Shaughnessy stopped 25 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Ironmen incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
