Indiana Jr. Ice 18U's Chitwood deadly on offense in 7-4 win against Phoenix Firebirds 18U

Indiana Jr. Ice 18U relied on the scoring touch of Joe Chitwood, who netted two goals, to beat Phoenix Firebirds 18U, 7-4.

Chitwood scored at 7:17 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Indiana Jr. Ice 18U and again while 16:44 into the second to make the score 5-4 Indiana Jr. Ice 18U.

Indiana Jr. Ice 18U stifled Phoenix Firebirds 18U's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Indiana Jr. Ice 18U kept Phoenix Firebirds 18U's goalie busy throughout the game, and David Volkmann made 29 saves on 36 shots. Indiana Jr. Ice 18U outdid its season average for goals scored.
