Mollica leads Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U over St. Louis Selects 18U, 3-1

Marcus Mollica was all over the ice for Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U's 3-1 win over St. Louis Selects 18U.

Mollica found the back of the net 3:53 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U and again while on the power play 12:48 into the third to make the score 3-1 Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U was led by goalie Kenny Eakle, who finished with 25 saves while allowing one goal. Eakle certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.31 entering the contest.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three St. Louis Selects 18U power plays.

James Wade also scored for Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U. In addition, Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U received assists from Max Mclain, who had two and Tyler Wilkerson, Nicholas Katzaroff, and Ryan Schlerf, who contributed one a piece.

St. Louis Selects 18U was led by Trevor Thornton, who scored the team's only goal. Thornton scored 2:29 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Eddie Rogers assisted on the tally.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Curtis Vitale rejected 19 shots on goal for St. Louis Selects 18U. St. Louis Selects 18U incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
