Pikes Peak Miners 18U survives New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U comeback, wins 4-3

New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but Pikes Peak Miners 18U held on for a 4-3 victory.

Pikes Peak Miners 18U made the score 4-2 on a goal by Jackson Barliant at 1:24 in the third period, and New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U got as close as 4-3 when fredricks scored 6:44 into the third period.

In a losing effort, New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U was paced by Nikita Samoylov, who had two goals. Samoylov scored the first of his two goals at 16:11 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Pikes Peak Miners 18U. Michael Ludwig provided the assist. Samoylov's next tally made the score 2-2 with 9:50 left in the second period. Ryan Burr picked up the assist.

Pikes Peak Miners 18U forced New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U goalie Joseph Licata to work between the pipes, taking 58 shots.

Pikes Peak Miners 18U also got a goal from Luc Gradisar as well. In addition, Pikes Peak Miners 18U received assists from Derek Famula, Connor Hutchins, Evan Dorwart, Quinton Vitek, and Luke Slouka, who each chipped in one.

More assists for New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U came via Dominic De La Guardia and Nikita Klinisovs, who contributed one a piece.

Daniel Kowalski made 17 saves for Pikes Peak Miners 18U on 20 shots. Pikes Peak Miners 18U incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U's Licata stopped 54 shots out of the 58 that he faced. New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
