Duhaime leads Pursuit of Excellence 18U over Atlanta Fire 18U, 6-0

Pursuit of Excellence 18U's Brandon Duhaime had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing three assists in his team's 6-0 win over Atlanta Fire 18U.

Duhaime got on the board by slotting home a goal 4:26 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Pursuit of Excellence 18U. Nick Kovacik provided the assist. Duhaime dished an assist on Jordan Kawaguchi's goal that made the score 1-0 Pursuit of Excellence 18U at 9:47 into the first period. He then added assists on Matthew Lueken's goal at 8:55 into the second and on Kawaguchi's goal at 12:26 into the third.

Pursuit of Excellence 18U forced Atlanta Fire 18U goalie Nick Bretzger to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. Pursuit of Excellence 18U found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Pursuit of Excellence 18U has scored at the pace of 2.6 goals per game during the current campaign.

Pursuit of Excellence 18U also got points from Kawaguchi, who also had two goals and one assist. Pursuit of Excellence 18U also got a goal from Hunter Zandee as well. In addition, Pursuit of Excellence 18U received assists from Tyler Barrett, who had one and Justin Lange and Chaz Reddekopp, who contributed two a piece.

Pursuit of Excellence 18U's Cody Porter stopped 16 shots out of the 16 that he faced. Pursuit of Excellence 18U incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Bretzger recorded 29 saves for Atlanta Fire 18U. Atlanta Fire 18U incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
