Lansing Capitals 18U survives Utah Regulators 18U comeback, wins 2-1

Utah Regulators 18U tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but Lansing Capitals 18U held on for a 2-1 victory.

A goal by Mitchell Shier put Lansing Capitals 18U up 2-0 in the second period, but Utah Regulators 18U pulled to within one on Wesley Morales' tally 11:45 into the third period.

Lansing Capitals 18U was paced by Shier, who registered one goal. Shier scored on the power play 14:46 into the second period to make the score Lansing Capitals 18U. Lansing Capitals 18U had gotten the advantage when Utah Regulators 18U's Jared Pike was sent off for slashing. Zac DeSimpelare provided the assist.
