Wade nets hat trick, leads Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U to 5-2 win over California Titans 18U

California Titans 18U could not stop Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U's James Wade, who tallied a hat trick in a 5-2 win.

Wade got on the scoresheet 9:11 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:34 into the third and at 12:43 into the third.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 40 penalty minutes.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow California Titans 18U to score on any of its 12 power plays.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U additionally got points from Max Mclain, who also finished with two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U came via Marcus Mollica, who had two and Troy Loggins and Charles Arsenescu, who each chipped in one.

California Titans 18U could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 22 minutes in penalties during the game.

California Titans 18U was helped by Bryce Pate, who racked up one goal. Pate scored 13:36 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Corey Pelone picked up the assist. Sam Bratten also scored for California Titans 18U. Other players who recorded assists for California Titans 18U were Blake Aguilar, Blake Brazil, and Quinton Wunder, who contributed one a piece.

Quentin Abrams recorded 20 saves for Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U. Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U registered one goal on five power play opportunities. California Titans 18U's Brandon Brown stopped 17 shots out of the 22 that he faced.
