Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U boosted by Recktenwald's play in net, beats St. Louis Selects 16U 4-1

A stellar performance between the pipes by Joseph Recktenwald helped Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U defeat St. Louis Selects 16U, 4-1.

Joseph Randazzo had a great game for Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U, netting two goals. Randazzo found the back of the net 16:34 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U and again while on the power play 16:04 into the third to make the score 4-1 Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U.

Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 22 penalty minutes.

Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U's offense rang up 38 shots on St. Louis Selects 16U's net.

Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U also got a goal from Troy Double as well. Other players who recorded assists for Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U were Anthony Franks, Mario Damasceno, and Matt Bour, who contributed one a piece and Kyle Cunningham and Adam Alavi, who each chipped in two.
