Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U defeated New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U in a shootout 4-3.

The two teams needed 18 turns to complete the shootout. New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U's shootout goals were scored by Matthew Kidney and Andrew Dicks. San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U also got shootout goals from Carson Kelley and Jack Cleaver.

Kelley was all over the ice for San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Kelley scored the first of his two goals at 15:37 into the first period to make the score 1-0 San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U. Zakery Galambos provided the assist.
