Wenatchee Wild 16U vanquishes New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U in shootout, 3-2

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Wenatchee Wild 16U defeated New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U in a shootout 3-2.

The shootout featured eight attempts between both teams. Wenatchee Wild 16U also got a shootout goal from Chris Koukis.

Wenatchee Wild 16U came back from a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. Wenatchee Wild 16U trailed 2-1 after a goal by New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U's Anthony Cusanelli at 11:48 in the first period. Wenatchee Wild 16U knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Koukis at 12:56 in the third period.

Wenatchee Wild 16U stifled New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Wenatchee Wild 16U was helped by Jakob Kranabetter, who finished with one goal. Kranabetter scored 2:30 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Zach Paxman provided the assist. More assists for Wenatchee Wild 16U came via Wyatt Meiers and Chad Haywood, who each chipped in one.

New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U kept Wenatchee Wild 16U's goalie busy throughout the game, and Alex Olson made 30 saves on 32 shots.

New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U was helped by Matthew Chinnici, who tallied one goal. Chinnici scored 1:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U. Ryan Walker assisted on the tally.

Wenatchee Wild 16U incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Michael Cosentino made 21 saves for New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U on 23 shots. New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
