Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U wins tough contest against Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 16U, 4-3

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U escaped with a 4-3 victory over Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 16U.

Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U gained the winning advantage on a goal by Austin Tonkovich 11:49 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

Carter Ekberg was all over the ice for Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U, as he registered two goals in the win. Ekberg scored at 9:28 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U and again while 2:30 into the third to make the score 3-2 Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U.

Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 16U was unable to stop Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U from sending pucks towards the net, and Pittsburgh Viper Stars 16U eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.
