Aurora's Kennedy deadly on offense in 4-1 win against Stouffville

Kory Kennedy was all over the ice for the Aurora Tigers, as he tallied two goals in Aurora's 4-1 win over the Stouffville Spirit.

Kennedy scored at 2:01 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Aurora and again while 18:31 into the third to make the score 4-1 Aurora.

The Tigers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Stouffville power plays.

Aurora also got a goal from Taylor McCloy as well. In addition, Aurora received assists from Dylan Wallace, Blake Forslund, Matt Andreacchi, and Kevin Entmaa, who each chipped in one and Tanner Shaw and David Iacono, who contributed two a piece.

Stouffville's penalty kill unit could not stop Aurora's power play, which converted on two of three opportunities.

The Spirit were led by Daryl Thompson, who scored the team's only goal. Thompson scored 4:54 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Aurora. Peyton Backus provided the assist.

Entmaa recorded 29 saves for the Tigers. Aurora incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Stouffville's Daniel Mannella stopped 26 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Spirit incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
