The North York Rangers scored three goals in the second period to pull away from the Burlington Cougars and clinch a 5-1 win. North York's Jason Pucciarelli was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 27 saves and let only one puck past him. Pucciarelli managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.56 prior to the game. John Carpino was all over the ice for the Rangers, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Carpino scored the first of his two goals at 4:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 North York. Lapierre Charles picked up the assist.
