The Trenton Golden Hawks relied on the scoring touch of Erlich Doerksen, who netted two goals, to beat the Pickering Panthers, 6-3. Doerksen scored at 14:48 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Pickering and again while on the power play 11:30 into the third to make the score 4-3 Trenton.Pickering was unable to stop Trenton from sending pucks towards the net, and the Golden Hawks eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. Trenton's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals. Trenton additionally got points from Sammy Banga, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Trenton included Ori Abramson, who had one and Jordan Minello, who had two. More assists for Trenton came via Mike Nedoszytko, Loren Ulett, Greg Trichilo, and Truman Landowski, who contributed one a piece and Shawn Hulshof, Alex Leader, and Dillon Warner, who each chipped in two.
