Trenton squeaks by Lindsay, 6-4

The game between the Trenton Golden Hawks and the Lindsay Muskies was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Trenton emerged with a 6-4 win.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Greg Trichilo secured the win for the Golden Hawks with a goal in the third period.

Trenton was led by Trichilo, who grabbed one goal. Trichilo scored on the power play 13:04 into the third period to make the score 5-4 Trenton. A boarding penalty on William Pelletier had put the Golden Hawks on the power play. Dillon Warner picked up the assist.

Trenton kept Lindsay's goalie busy throughout the game, and Tanner Davis made 29 saves on 35 shots.

Trenton also got points from Mark Luzar(APJ), who also racked up one goal and one assist, Erlich Doerksen, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Shawn Hulshof, who also had one goal and one assist. Trenton also got a goal from Nick Marinac as well. More assists for Trenton came via Jordan Minello, Mike Nedoszytko, Loren Ulett, and Sammy Banga, who contributed one a piece.

The defensemen of the Muskies were also effective in the Golden Hawks' zone, and came away with two goals.

Lindsay was led by Brian Hubers, who tallied one goal and one assist. Hubers scored 4:39 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Trenton. Louis-David Bourgault assisted on the tally. Patrick Hamilton also scored for Lindsay. Other players who recorded assists for Lindsay were Corey Jackson, who had two and Patrick Thornton and Dean Klomp, who each chipped in one.

Andrew Winsor recorded 21 saves for Trenton. The Golden Hawks incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Muskies incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
