Brett Sinclair was superb between the pipes for the Aurora Tigers, as he did not allow a goal in a 1-0 victory over the Cobourg Cougars. Adam DiBrina's game-winning tally was the game's only goal. It came at 9:11 in the third period. Dylan Sikura assisted on the tally. Aurora was led by DiBrina, who finished with one goal. The Tigers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Aurora did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Tigers put an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game. Aurora was steadier on the defensive front than it has been for much of this season. The Tigers gives up 2.7 goals on average per game. Cobourg was unable to stop Aurora from sending pucks towards the net, and the Tigers eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. In addition, Aurora received assists from Zack MacArthur, who had one. The Cougars' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Aurora power plays. Cobourg could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Cougars average 3.1 goals per game. Cobourg forced Aurora goalie Sinclair to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. The Tigers' Sinclair stopped 38 shots out of the 38 that he faced. Aurora incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Nathan Perry made 33 saves for the Cougars on 34 shots. Cobourg incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
