Huge game by Delaurentis boosts Wellington over Lindsay, 5-2Wellington CC Fri, Jan 25, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Wellington Dukes' Erick Delaurentis had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 5-2 win over the Lindsay Muskies. Delaurentis found the back of the net on the power play 5:29 into the second period to make the score 2-2 and again while 1:44 into the third to make the score 4-2 Wellington.Wellington's offense rang up 43 shots on Lindsay's net. Wellington also got points from Parker Wood, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Mike Soucier also scored for Wellington. More assists for Wellington came via Joe McKeown and Jan Kaminsky, who contributed one a piece and Craig Campbell and Kyle Paat, who each chipped in two. The Muskies found themselves short handed often, totaling 28 penalty minutes and allowing eight power plays. Lindsay was helped by William Pelletier, who registered one goal. Pelletier scored on the power play 3:28 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Lindsay. The Muskies earned a power play opportunity when Soucier was put in the box for high sticking. Louis-David Bourgault provided the assist. Lindsay also got a goal from William Sullivan as well. Other players who recorded assists for Lindsay were Felix Chamberland, Dean Klomp, and Corey Jackson, who contributed one a piece. Matt Larose recorded 25 saves for the Dukes. Wellington incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Tanner Davis made 38 saves for Lindsay on 43 shots. The Muskies registered one goal on four power play opportunities. For Lindsay, Patrick Thornton was ejected from the game.
