Jonah Renouf was all over the ice for the Oakville Blades, as he tallied two goals and three assists in Oakville's 7-3 win over the Hamilton Red Wings. Renouf found the back of the net 11:08 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Oakville and again while 14:49 into the second to make the score 6-2 Oakville.Hamilton was unable to stop the Blades from sending pucks towards the net, and Oakville eventually piled up 53 shots on goal. The Blades outdid their season average for goals scored. Oakville has scored at the pace of 4.1 goals per game during the current campaign. The Blades were ineffective while on the power play, as they were held to two goals off of 10 man advantages. Oakville also got points from Patrick Chore, who also registered three goals and two assists to lead the team in points and Spencer Green, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Luke Laidlaw also scored for Oakville. In addition, Oakville received assists from Aidan Orbinski, who had two, Nathan Renouf, who had three, and Jimmy Cusan and Vince Palermo, who contributed one a piece. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. The Red Wings were helped by Justin Denobriga, who grabbed one goal. Denobriga scored on the power play 19:24 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Oakville. A hooking penalty on Renouf had put Hamilton on the power play. Alex LeBrosse assisted on the tally.
