North York earns hard-fought 1-0 win over Toronto Lakeshore

The North York Rangers used a goal by John Carpino and a superb defensive effort to beat the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots, 1-0.

Patrick Piacentini provided the assist on the the contest's lone goal.

North York was paced by Carpino, who registered one goal. Carpino scored 16:45 into the second period to make the score 1-0 North York. Piacentini assisted on the tally.

The Rangers managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. North York wound up below its season average of 18.0 penalty minutes per game. The Rangers were held below their usual level of production. North York averages 4.3 goals per game.
