Aurora outlasts Stouffville, 4-2Stouffville Arena Thu, Jan 17, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Aurora Tigers gutted out a close 4-2 win against the Stouffville Spirit. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Blake Forslund at 2:35 of the third period. Robert Angiolella was all over the ice for Aurora, as he had two goals in the win. Angiolella scored at eight seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Aurora and again while on the power play 11:18 into the second to make the score 2-1 Aurora. Stouffville was unable to stop the Tigers from sending pucks towards the net, and Aurora eventually piled up 39 shots on goal. Aurora additionally got points from Matt Andreacchi, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Aurora were David Iacono, Kory Kennedy, Daniel Lisi, and Mihkel Poldma, who each chipped in one. The Spirit were helped by Michael Stevens, who finished with one goal. Stevens scored on the power play 7:03 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Stouffville had gotten the advantage when the Tigers' Adam DiBrina was sent off for goalie interference. Robert Powers assisted on the tally. Peyton Backus also scored for Stouffville. In addition, Stouffville received assists from Dylan Savory and MARC STEVENS, who contributed one a piece. Kevin Entmaa made 26 saves for Aurora on 28 shots. The Tigers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Daniel Mannella rejected 35 shots on goal for the Spirit. Stouffville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
