Wilson leads Georgetown to shutout victory over North YorkMold-Master SportsPlex Wed, Jan 16, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Keegan Wilson recorded a shutout against the North York Rangers as the Georgetown Raiders picked up a 5-0 win. Georgetown pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 40 penalty minutes. The Raiders forced North York's goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, taking 37 shots and forcing 32 saves. Jason Pucciarelli made 25 stops and Keogh Jacob made seven. Georgetown's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on eight North York power plays. The Raiders' defensive effort looked to be improved. Georgetown gives up 2.6 goals on average per game. The Raiders were helped by Drake Hart, who racked up one goal. Hart scored 6:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Georgetown. Alex Botten assisted on the tally. Georgetown also got points from Steve Hladin, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Brendan Woods, who also finished with two goals and one assist. Georgetown also got a goal from Jacob Bauchman as well. Other players who recorded assists for Georgetown were Nick Perruccio, who had two, Anthony Marra, who had three, and Tyler McCarthy and Santino Centorame, who contributed one a piece. The Rangers' offense operated below they season average. North York averages 4.1 goals per game. The Rangers were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 48 penalty minutes. Wilson recorded 29 saves for Georgetown. The Raiders registered two goals on seven power play opportunities. North York ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Dana Tenenbaum was ejected from the game.
