North York downs Milton, 5-2

John Carpino had two points to lead the North York Rangers to a 5-2 victory over the Milton Icehawks.

North York's offense rang up 31 shots on Milton's net.

Fung Zachary also scored for North York. Other players who recorded assists for North York were Patrick Piacentini, Valadao Adam, Chris Aitcheson, Dana Tenenbaum, Taylor Pryce, and Scott Maguire, who each chipped in one.

The Icehawks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Milton kept the Rangers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jason Pucciarelli made 45 saves on 47 shots.

The Icehawks were helped by Daniel Holt, who registered one goal. Holt scored on the power play 16:19 into the third period to make the score 4-2 North York. Milton had gotten the advantage when North York's Matthew Whittaker was sent off for roughing after whistle. Brad Kobryn provided the assist. Milton also got a goal from Tye Campbell as well. In addition, Milton received assists from Michael Capicotto and Justin Devincentis, who contributed one a piece.

The Rangers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Daniel Plater rejected 26 shots on goal for the Icehawks. Milton incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
