Tanner Davis was superb between the pipes for the Lindsay Muskies, as he did not allow a goal in a 5-0 victory over the Trenton Golden Hawks. Lindsay forced Golden Hawks' goaltenders to work without much rest, racking up 33 shots and forcing 28 saves. Andrew Winsor made eight stops and Victor Adamo made 20. The Muskies' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Trenton power plays. Lindsay's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Muskies finished with 24 penalty minutes. Lindsay was led by Felix Chamberland, who racked up two goals and one assist. Chamberland scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 3:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lindsay. The Muskies had taken the advantage when Trenton's Nick Marinac got sent off for interference. Corey Jackson assisted on the tally. Chamberland's next tally on the power play made the score 3-0 Lindsay with 18:29 left in the second period. Jake Taylor provided the assist. Lindsay additionally got points from Louis-David Bourgault, who also had one goal and two assists and Taylor, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Lindsay also got a goal from Vince Herlihey as well. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Cole Murduff, Jacob Walters, Dean Klomp, and Brian Hubers, who each chipped in one. The Golden Hawks did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Trenton averages 3.9 goals per game. The Golden Hawks' offense rang up 45 shots on Lindsay's net. Trenton's penalty kill was ineffective, and let in two goals to the Muskies' power play unit. The Golden Hawks gave up more goals than its normal season average. Trenton is averaging 2.4 goals against for the season. Davis rejected 45 shots on goal for Lindsay. The Golden Hawks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
