St. Michaels outlasts Toronto Lakeshore, 3-2

The St. Michaels Buzzers gutted out a close 3-2 win against the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots.

St. Michaels gained the winning advantage on a goal by Matt Buckles 18:03 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

Matt Galati had a great game for the Buzzers, netting two goals. Galati's tallies came at 13:39 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and 3:52 into the third to make the score 2-1 St. Michaels.

Toronto Lakeshore was unable to stop St. Michaels from sending pucks towards the net, and the Buzzers eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

More assists for St. Michaels came via Shane Conacher, who had two and Michael Neville, Jake Evans, Jordan Merante, and Patrick McCarron, who contributed one a piece.

The Patriots did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Toronto Lakeshore averages 4.1 goals per game. The Patriots' offense rang up 33 shots on St. Michaels' net.

Toronto Lakeshore was helped by William Seligman, who finished with one goal. Seligman scored on the power play 11:06 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Toronto Lakeshore. A hooking penalty on Cody Doiron had put the Patriots on the power play. Tyler Currie provided the assist. Toronto Lakeshore also got a goal from Nathan Feric as well. In addition, Toronto Lakeshore received assists from Daniel Tedesco, Dylan Carter, and Doug Bonar, who each chipped in one.

The Buzzers' Adrian Ignagni stopped 31 shots out of the 33 that he faced. St. Michaels incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Joseph Pianta made 31 saves for Toronto Lakeshore on 34 shots. The Patriots incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
