Chore's goals lift Oakville to 5-2 victory over BurlingtonWave Twin Rinks - Black Sat, Jan 12, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Behind a great game by Patrick Chore, who had two goals, the Oakville Blades defeated the Burlington Cougars, 5-2. Chore scored on the power play at 20 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while on the power play 6:00 into the third to make the score 4-2 Oakville.Oakville kept Burlington's goalie busy throughout the game, and Alex Murray made 35 saves on 40 shots. Oakville also had goals scored by Eric Chore, who had one and Len Fabbri, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Oakville were Aidan Orbinski, who had three, Nathan Renouf, Jimmy Cusan, and Greg Campbell, who contributed one a piece, and Harrison Domagala and Jonah Renouf, who each chipped in two. The Cougars were led by Tyler VanKleef, who grabbed one goal and one assist. VanKleef scored 8:04 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Burlington. Steven Mueller provided the assist. Burlington also got a goal from Brett Coulson as well. Spencer Bacon made 20 saves for the Blades on 22 shots. Oakville incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Burlington incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
