Pianta stymies Georgetown, Toronto Lakeshore wins 4-1

The Toronto Lakeshore Patriots' Kyle Dutra had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 4-1 win over the Georgetown Raiders.

Dutra got on the board by slotting home a power play goal 9:17 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Toronto Lakeshore. Toronto Lakeshore had gotten the advantage when Georgetown's Tyler McCarthy was sent off for cross checking. Alex D Oliveira provided the assist. Dutra dished an assist on Doug Bonar's goal that made the score 2-1 Toronto Lakeshore at 19:37 into the second period. He added another helper on Bonar's goal that made the score 4-1 Toronto Lakeshore at 1:06 into the third period.

The Raiders were stymied by the Patriots netminder Joseph Pianta, who stopped 29 shots during the victory. Pianta managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.26 prior to the game.

Toronto Lakeshore pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 26 penalty minutes.

Toronto Lakeshore additionally got points from Michael Apreda, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, Toronto Lakeshore received assists from Nathan Feric, who had two and Dylan Carter and William Seligman, who contributed one a piece.
