Wellington boosted by Larose's play in net, beats Pickering 6-1Pickering Recreation Complex Fri, Jan 11, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Wellington Dukes relied on the sparkling performance of Matt Larose in net to grab a 6-1 win against the Pickering Panthers. Wellington was led by Joe McKeown, who finished with one goal. McKeown scored 1:35 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Wellington. Mike Soucier provided the assist. The Dukes' offense rang up 55 shots on Pickering's net. Wellington's goal total was higher than its season average. The Dukes have scored at the pace of 2.9 goals per game during the current campaign. Wellington also got points from Jake Marchment, who also registered one goal and one assist, Spencer Turcotte, who also had two goals and one assist, and Erick Delaurentis, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Wellington also got a goal from Parker Wood as well.
