Adamo stymies Stouffville, Trenton wins 7-1

Victor Adamo had a standout game with 30 saves, and the Trenton Golden Hawks beat the Stouffville Spirit 7-1.

Trenton was led by Loren Ulett, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Ulett scored 6:14 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Trenton. Brady Wiffen provided the assist.

The Golden Hawks forced Stouffville's netminders to work without much rest, launching 39 shots and forcing 32 saves. Daniel Mannella made 26 stops and Braydon Banitsiotis made six. Trenton excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Golden Hawks bested their season scoring average. This season, Trenton averages 3.9 goals per contest. The defensemen of the Golden Hawks were also effective in the Spirit's zone, and came away with three goals.

Trenton additionally got points from Erlich Doerksen, who also registered one goal and one assist, Dillon Warner, who also had one goal and one assist, and Wiffen, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Trenton also had goals scored by Nolan Martin, who had one and Sammy Banga, who had two. More assists for Trenton came via Josh Timpano, Jordan Minello, Michael Walker, Ori Abramson, and Brandon Scott, who each chipped in one and Mike Nedoszytko and Nick Marinac, who contributed two a piece.

Stouffville's offense rang up 31 shots on Trenton's net. The Spirit could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 36 minutes in penalties during the game.

Stouffville was led by Peyton Backus, who scored the team's only goal. Backus scored 15:04 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Stouffville. MARC STEVENS assisted on the tally.

The Golden Hawks incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
