Finn stymies Lindsay, Kingston wins 4-1INVISTA Center Thu, Jan 10, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Kingston Voyageurs relied on the sparkling performance of Charlie Finn in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Lindsay Muskies. Kingston was paced by Ludlow Harris, who had one goal and one assist. Harris scored on the power play 7:25 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Kingston. The Voyageurs had gained a power play chance when Cole Murduff was whistled for hooking. Graham Yeo picked up the assist. Kingston's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Lindsay power plays. The Voyageurs' offense rang up 39 shots on Lindsay's net. The defensemen of Kingston were also effective in the Muskies' zone, and came away with two goals. The Voyageurs could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game. Kingston also got points from Dylan Hutton, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Aidan Wright also scored for Kingston. More assists for Kingston came via Brian Nanne, who had one and Michael Schug, who had two. Lindsay was held below its usual level of production. The Muskies average 3.5 goals per game. Kingston was unable to stop Lindsay from sending pucks towards the net, and the Muskies eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Lindsay could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 38 minutes in penalties during the game. The Muskies were led by Felix Chamberland, who scored the team's only goal. Chamberland scored 8:36 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Kingston. Jake Taylor provided the assist. Charlie Finn made 33 saves for the Voyageurs on 34 shots. Kingston registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. Tanner Davis recorded 35 saves for Lindsay.
