Aurora rolls over Pickering, 6-2

The Aurora Tigers had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-2 win over the Pickering Panthers.

Aurora was led by Adam DiBrina, who had one goal and one assist. DiBrina scored 8:48 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Aurora. Daniel Clairmont assisted on the tally.

In the losing effort, Pickering was sparked by Jeff Heard, who registered two goals. Heard scored the first of his two goals at 6:14 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Aurora. Brodie Tutton picked up the assist. Heard's next tally made the score 4-2 Aurora with 7:31 left in the second period. The Panthers earned a power play opportunity when DiBrina was put in the box for slashing. Andrew McCann assisted on the tally.

Pickering was unable to stop the Tigers from sending pucks towards the net, and Aurora eventually piled up 55 shots on goal. The Tigers surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Aurora has scored at the pace of 3.2 goals per game during the current campaign.

Aurora additionally got points from Adam Moody, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Aurora also got a goal from David Iacono as well. Other players who recorded assists for Aurora were Tanner Shaw, Taylor McCloy, Dylan Sikura, Justin Nice, Daniel Lisi, and Mihkel Poldma, who contributed one a piece.

In addition, Pickering received assists from Alex Clements, who had one.

Brett Sinclair recorded 17 saves for the Tigers. Aurora incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Panthers' Conor Barrie stopped 49 shots out of the 55 that he faced. Pickering incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
