Angiolella's goals lift Aurora to 5-2 victory over Whitby

Behind a great game by Robert Angiolella, who had four goals, the Aurora Tigers defeated the Whitby Fury, 5-2.

Angiolella's first goal came 14:22 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:36 into the second, at 9:56 into the third, and at 19:25 into the third.

Whitby's power play was ineffective against Aurora's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

Aurora additionally got points from Zack MacArthur, who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for Aurora came via Daniel Lisi, who had three and David Iacono, Blake Forslund, Kyle Liu, and Daniel Clairmont, who each chipped in one.

The Fury excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Whitby's offense rang up 35 shots on the Tigers' net.

The Fury were helped by Henry Thompson, who had one goal. Thompson scored 3:29 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Shaquille Hickey provided the assist. Whitby also got a goal from Chris Raguseo as well. In addition, Whitby received assists from Matt Davis, who had one.

Kevin Entmaa recorded 33 saves for Aurora. The Tigers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Whitby's starting goalie, Josh Hickey, made 21 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Tyler Feaver, who stopped two shots. The Fury incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
