Hulshof's hat trick boosts Trenton over Pickering, 12-1Duncan Memorial Sun, Jan 06, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
A hat trick by Shawn Hulshof was the highlight in Golden Hawks' 12-1 win against the Pickering Panthers. Hulshof notched his first tally 8:57 into the first period. He then added goals at 15:26 into the first and at 9:59 into the second.The Trenton Golden Hawks were led by goalie Victor Adamo, who finished with 26 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Adamo will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.23. Trenton forced Pickering's goaltenders to work in net, firing 51 shots and forcing 39 saves. Conor Barrie made 26 stops and J P Cesario made 13. The Golden Hawks surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Trenton averages 3.9 goals per contest. The Golden Hawks took advantage of the Panthers' penalties, tallying three goals off of four power play opportunities. Trenton also got points from Josh Timpano, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Jordan Minello, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Greg Trichilo, who also grabbed three goals and three assists, and Krystian Yorke, who also tallied one goal and three assists. Trenton also had goals scored by Alex Leader, who had one and Sammy Banga, who had two. More assists for Trenton came via Erlich Doerksen, Mike Nedoszytko, Michael Walker, Robbie Hall, Nolan Martin, and Nick Marinac, who contributed one a piece and Ori Abramson and Dillon Warner, who each chipped in two. Trenton incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Pickering incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
