North York holds on for 4-3 win against Mississauga

The Mississauga Chargers tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the North York Rangers would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

North York took a 4-2 lead during the third period, only to have Mississauga storm back on a Matt Donnelly goal 16:23 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

John Carpino and Corey Kalk provided the spark for the Rangers, combining for three goals and three assists. Carpino grabbed two goals and one assist and Kalk also notched one goal and two assists.

The Chargers were unable to stop North York from sending pucks towards the net, and the Rangers eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

North York also got points from Valadao Adam, who also had one goal and one assist and Kalk, who also registered one goal and two assists. Other players who recorded assists for North York were Patrick Piacentini, who had two and Power Brody and Liam Kerins, who each chipped in one.

Mississauga also got a goal from Paul Ramieri as well. More assists for Mississauga came via Cosimo Fontana and Ross Sloan, who contributed one a piece and Nicholas Palumbo and A Valente, who each chipped in two.

Keogh Jacob made 17 saves for North York on 20 shots. The Rangers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Austin Washkurak rejected 29 shots on goal for Mississauga. The Chargers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
