Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Toronto Junior Canadiens defeated the Oakville Blades in a shootout 3-2 (2-1 SO). The shootout featured five attempts between both teams. Oakville got a shootout goal from Jonah Renouf. Toronto's other shootout goal was scored by Cody Thompson.The Junior Canadiens overcame a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. Toronto was down 2-1 after a power play goal by the Blades' Patrick Chore at 36 seconds in the third period. The Junior Canadiens tied things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by Travis Hill at 5:06 in the third period. Toronto also got a goal from Mark Spadafora as well. In addition, Toronto received assists from Adam Logozzo, Thompson, Luca Doctor, and Anthony Repaci, who contributed one a piece. Oakville's offense operated below it season average. The Blades put an average of 4.2 pucks into the net per game. Oakville also got points from Nathan Renouf, who also had one goal and one assist. More assists for Oakville came via Renouf, who had two. Denny Dubblestyne made 24 saves for Toronto on 26 shots. The Junior Canadiens incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Oakville's Spencer Bacon stopped 24 shots out of the 26 that he faced. The Blades incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
