Aurora outlasts Pickering, 5-3

The Aurora Tigers gutted out a close 5-3 win against the Pickering Panthers.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Taylor McCloy's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Kory Kennedy was all over the ice for Aurora, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Kennedy scored 2:40 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Robert Angiolella assisted on the tally.

The Tigers kept Pickering's goalie busy throughout the game, and Conor Barrie made 34 saves on 39 shots.

Aurora additionally got points from Angiolella, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Aurora also got a goal from Daniel Lisi as well. More assists for Aurora came via David Iacono, who had two and Michael Keenan, Dylan Wallace, Zack MacArthur, and Adam DiBrina, who each chipped in one.

The Panthers were helped by Brodie Tutton, who tallied one goal. Tutton scored 17:33 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Pickering. Andrew McCann provided the assist. Pickering also got points from McCann, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Tanner Bull also scored for Pickering. In addition, Pickering received assists from Aidan Wallace, Cody Doiron, and Matt Galati, who contributed one a piece.

Brett Sinclair rejected 25 shots on goal for Aurora. The Tigers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Pickering incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
