Toronto Lakeshore pulls away in second, rolls over Milton, 5-1Mastercard Centre Sat, Dec 29, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Milton Icehawks allowed the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots to net three goals during the second period and fell, 5-1. Doug Bonar was all over the ice for Toronto Lakeshore, as he finished with two goals in the win. Bonar scored at 8:20 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Toronto Lakeshore and again while 9:40 into the second to make the score 3-0 Toronto Lakeshore. Milton excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. The Icehawks were held below their usual level of production. Milton puts an average of 3.9 pucks into the net per game. The Icehawks' offense rang up 43 shots on the Patriots' net. Toronto Lakeshore's Joseph Pianta stopped 42 shots out of the 43 that he faced. The Patriots incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Justin Urquhart made 40 saves for Milton on 45 shots. The Icehawks incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
