The Trenton Golden Hawks used a five-goal second period to put away the Stouffville Spirit, 8-2. Trenton got the win with help from a great game by Nick Marinac, who had one goal and three assists. Marinac scored 19:14 into the second period to make the score 6-0 Trenton. Greg Trichilo assisted on the tally. The Golden Hawks made Stouffville's netminders to work without much rest, ripping 41 shots and forcing 33 saves. Daniel Mannella made 24 stops and Peter Vigneux made nine. Trenton bested its season scoring average. This season, the Golden Hawks average 3.7 goals per contest. Trenton also got points from Mike Nedoszytko, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Loren Ulett, who also had one goal and one assist, Trichilo, who also finished with one goal and two assists, and Shawn Hulshof, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Trenton also got a goal from Nolan Martin as well. In addition, Trenton received assists from Josh Timpano, Jordan Minello, Ori Abramson, and Brady Wiffen, who contributed one a piece and Erlich Doerksen and Brandon Scott, who each chipped in two. Dylan Savory also scored for Stouffville. More assists for Stouffville came via Josh Carrick, Dakota Redshaw, and Justin Wain, who contributed one a piece. Trenton's Victor Adamo stopped 16 shots out of the 18 that he faced. The Golden Hawks totaled 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors and two majors and went 0-for-2 on the power play. For Trenton, Ulett and Robbie Hall were ejected from the contest. The Spirit totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play. Team's Nathanael Halbert and Joseph Deveny were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
