The North York Rangers were firing on all cylinders against the St. Michaels Buzzers, and when the final buzzer sounded Rangers emerged with a 5-2 win. John Carpino was all over the ice for North York, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Carpino scored 4:47 into the third period to make the score 5-1 North York. The Rangers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven St. Michaels power plays. North York kept St. Michaels' goalie busy throughout the game, and Adrian Ignagni made 29 saves on 34 shots. North York additionally got points from Corey Kalk, who also tallied one goal and one assist. North York also got a goal from Ryan Kinsella as well. In addition, North York received assists from Fung Zachary, Taylor Pryce, Michael Giacometti, and Patrick Simmonds, who contributed one a piece. The Buzzers could not produce up to they normal offensive output. St. Michaels averages 4.1 goals per game. The Buzzers managed to hold the Rangers' power play largely in check, allowing only one goal while on the disadvantage. St. Michaels was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 42 penalty minutes. The Buzzers were led by Mitch Marner, who registered one goal and one assist. Marner scored 17:27 into the third period to make the score 5-2 North York. Nicholas Lepone provided the assist. CJ Shugart also scored for St. Michaels. More assists for St. Michaels came via Patrick McCarron, who had one. Keogh Jacob rejected 24 shots on goal for North York. The Rangers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
