Lindsay holds on for 5-4 win against Aurora

The Aurora Tigers tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Lindsay Muskies held on for a 5-4 victory.

Lindsay made the score 5-2 on a goal by Dylan Fitze at 2:00 in the third period, and Aurora got as close as 5-4 when Adam Moody scored 13:11 into the third period.

Tyler Donaldson had one goal and two assists to lead the Muskies. Donaldson scored 17:01 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Lindsay. Louis-David Bourgault picked up the assist.

Lindsay forced Tigers' goaltenders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, launching 31 shots and forcing 26 saves. Kevin Entmaa made 13 stops and Brett Sinclair made 13. The Muskies struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 34 penalty minutes for five opposing power plays.

Lindsay additionally got points from Matt McCartney, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Lindsay also got a goal from Felix Chamberland as well. More assists for Lindsay came via Vince Herlihey, Jake Taylor, and Brian Hubers, who each chipped in one.

The Tigers' offense rang up 36 shots on Lindsay's net.

Taylor McCloy also scored for Aurora. In addition, Aurora received assists from Daniel Clairmont, who had two and Tyler Shaw, Michael Keenan, Kory Kennedy, Matt Andreacchi, and Robert Angiolella, who contributed one a piece.

The Muskies' Tanner Davis stopped 32 shots out of the 36 that he faced. Lindsay registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Aurora incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For the Tigers, Daniel Lisi was ejected from the game.
